Fever and Sailor Twain

Hey everyone, I was bedridden from Wednesday to Sunday this past week with the severest fever/chills of my life! I thought I might have swine flu, but when I finally saw a doctor on Sunday, it turned out I had a bacterial infection in my throat. I'm taking antibiotics now and finally up and about. Anyway, that's a long way of saying I couldn't work last week so there won't be an update for the next couple days. But stay tuned, there should be new panels as soon as Wednesday or maybe even tomorrow if I get lucky.

But in the meantime, here's some great reading for you!

It's "Sailor Twain" from Mark Siegel, my editor at First Second Books. When people ask me about Mark as an editor, I always says, "He's a good comics editor because he's a good cartoonist." Now everyone can see what I mean. Check it out!

The Fifth Ninja Turtle

This is an oldie, but just in case everyone hasn't see this little gem:

Star Trek: The Mad Generation

So I've been obsessed with Mad Men as I recently went through all three seasons in the last month. If you've seen it, I'm sure I won't have to bore you with how great it is. It's my favorite show at the moment.

It also got me thinking about one of my other favorite shows of all time, Star Trek, The Next Generation. I was thinking what an awesome crew the characters on Mad Men would make for Star Trek! So in some crazy flight of obsession (and non-stop giggling), I photoshopped this together when I should've been working on TUNE:

From L to R:
Ensign Pete Campbell (the kid), Lieutenant Peggy Olson (Chief of Security), Lieutenant Commander Harry Crane (Chief Engineer), Commander Roger Sterling (First Officer), Captain Don Draper (Commanding Officer), Commander Betty Draper (Chief Medical Officer), Lieutenant Salvatore Romano (Conn Officer; homosexual Klingon), Lieutenant Commander Joan Holloway (Ship's Counselor), Lieutenant Commander Ken C.O.S.G.R.O.V.E (Cybernetic Organism Simulating Great Repertoire Of Volatile Emotions; Second Officer)

Tell me this wouldn't be the greatest Star Trek ever!
